Whisper was rescued from a farm where she was 5 months old, was malnourished, had an injury to her head and had lice. She is an amazing therapy horse and has the incredible ability to connect with people in very different ways and meet them where they are. She is also the first horse to welcome and try to connect with new horses in the herd, having done an amazing job connecting with a horse that entered the herd in an attitude of about to give up entirely. Whisper brought him back.

 

Riley was in uterus when rescued. Although Riley is nearly 2 years old, the man whose farm she was on was only recently arrested for animal cruelty. She is named Riley because she was born on St. Patrick’s Day. Riley's mother was pregnant with Riley, her name is Cookie. There was a great deal of concern about whether Riley would actually survive because the neglect of her mother was severe. However, Riley is tough and she is clearly a fighter. She is a strong-minded horse with a definite purpose even at her young age.
