Coach Farnham, Interns and Boys...
As a college student, I was looking forward to a relaxing summer. No hard thinking, no running to and from classes, no getting up early, just a restful and peaceful summer. I was wrong…
Four Reinhardt College students, including myself, have signed up as summer academy interns for a very eventful, hectic, and sure to be fun filled summer here at the Ranch. While the first few weeks of the Goshen Summer Academy Program have already proven that this is not going to be a typical college summer break, I can honestly say that Catherine, Mirvad, Derrick, and myself are enthusiastic about the next two months.
Starting at ten o'clock, when the boys arrive at the pavilion, the day is a constant game on until three o'clock. There have been blindfolded races, eating contests, work days for planting flowers and Ranch beatification, cook outs, devotional times with Coach Farnham, the soccer coach, from Reinhardt College, a slip-and-slide day, and many other ball games. And that was just the first couple of weeks of summer academy. To keep the fun going, the interns have plans of Braves games outings, camping trips, and historical visits in Georgia along with nature hikes and continued on Ranch activities. It looks like it is going to be an awesome summer…
